Synodal Journey: Gatherings

The spirit of synodal gatherings is praying, sharing, listening and entering into dialogue.

The three year synodal journey inaugurated by Pope Francis in 2021 to chart a path for our post-modern era follows in the spirit of the Church “renewal” begun by the Second Vatican Council where there was a re-emphasis on the renewal of the Church as the People of God, a people journeying in communion with a sense of co-responsibility and a renewed participation in the mission – being a community of faith.

St Patricks Parish - the journeying People of God.

In the Synodal Gatherings at St Patricks we will take up the Word of God (the Sunday’s gospel).  Together we will listen to that Word and pray. We will listen to each other. We will take Mary as our guide: "You see before you the Lord's servant. Let it happen according to your word!" (Luke 1:38).  We will enter into dialogue.

We will meet in groups of between 5 and 10 people for about 50 minutes and in that time we will:
